On March 26, the main venue was set up in Shanghai Rongfeng Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. The two special committees of furnace and equipment and glass lamp industry jointly held the 2020 annual summary meeting. The members of the special committee attended the meeting in online and offline ways. Huang Peicong, deputy director of the furnace special committee and general manager of Nantong Changda Furnace Technology Engineering Co., Ltd. presided over the meeting. Secretary General Gu Zhonghua delivered a speech at the meeting, thanking the member units for their cohesion and opening up a new situation in the midst of change, and successfully passing through an extraordinary year of the epidemic. Ning Wei, the director of the furnace special committee, and Wang Jianguo, the director of the glass lamp industry special committee, respectively summarized the work of 20 years, and Wang Qingwei, the secretary, put forward the outlook and plan for the work of 21 years. In the past 20 years, the Special Committee has actively expanded its service channels, adjusted measures to the situation, and carried out such precise services as remote consultation lectures, technology docking, scientific and technological evaluation, professional title review, and group standard formulation in the form of online and offline integration, providing strong support for enterprise research and development. In 21 years, the 9th International Advanced Glass Seminar will be held in Donghua University. In the preparatory stage, member units and glass enterprises colleges and universities have given strong support. The conference will be held online and offline as scheduled in May. Xie Jianjun, Deputy Director of the furnace Special Committee, made a summary speech and hoped that the Association would continue to expand its role as a platform and bridge, and play a greater role for member units in youth talent training, intellectual property protection, industry university research cooperation, etc.
At the meeting, 9 old experts who made outstanding contributions in the field of glass were awarded the title of "Honorary Member". Cheng Xiang, the chairman of our company, won this honor and made a speech. They have worked in the glass industry for nearly 60 years, and witnessed the glass industry's journey from Shanghai to the whole country and then to the world, as well as the development, prosperity and achievements of the furnace special committee.
